This is a special piece, titled "Strawberry Fields Forever", as it was inspired by fond memories of picking strawberries when my kids when they were small. We would take our bounty and make a sweet freezer jam to enjoy over the fall months. Now my daughter is 14 and my son is 12! The cliche that "time flies" is so very fitting, as many of you can relate. I'm so fortunate to be able to relive this time of my life through art! This can also be a perfect gift for Mom on Mothers Day.

The original took some time due to all of the color layers, but I always come away with another greeting card design to grow my collection. Also available as a small 8x10 reproduction that fits in a standard size frame. The original botanical image was created from a hand drawn sketch and then transferred to a series of linoleum blocks for hand carving. Each color is a separate carving and colors are layered one over the other on an antique letterpress. No two prints are exactly the same because they are printed by hand, making this a truly original hand crafted piece.
